Here is the picture that I thought best described being a negro in the time of The Great Depression.

I thought this picture was a great example of how life was being a man of color in the era of The Great Depression. In this picture, shows a black man. He looks swell, dressed nice, looks respectable. It it looks like hes waiting for a shuttle bus. But there's a reason why hes standing int he exact spot. Look above him, and you will see, it clearly says "Colored Waiting Room." This was allotted to the African-Americans to wait for the bus. This was a harsh, but true reality that existed in that time. Look at the disgust in his face. Look at the anguish in his eyes. He cant seem to imagine why whites and blacks cant co-exist in society. That is why I think this picture shows the raw and scary time period during The Great Depression.
